THE-INC 2020 Conference Covid-19 virus update

Dear colleagues,

We are closely monitoring the developments of COVID-19. At the moment events in April and Early May are being cancelled, but June is still quite some way off. My fellow organisers and I are currently working on the assumption that THE-INC2020 will go ahead as planned, as by that stage the outbreak may be over. However, we will follow the advice of the Dutch Health Ministry. The situation is changing on a daily basis. The organising committee of THE-INC2020 has therefore not made a final decision just yet (as things are changing so fast). All universities in The Netherlands closed last Friday and we are all working from home until probably the end of April. However, at the moment the feeling in The Netherlands is that it would be safe to go back to work after that.

Given the unprecedented nature of the COVID-19 situation, and out of an abundance of caution for the health and welfare of all, we are also investigating ways to add online components to allow for greater participation by those whose travel may still be limited in June and we will announce those soon.

We will stay in touch and communicate news as soon as we have it. We are waiting for the day when we can see you all again - until then, stay safe.

Kind Regards,

Erwin
