Research integrity

The Dutch universities (including Universities of Applied Sciences) signed the Netherlands Code of Conduct for Research Integrity. It can be found and downloaded via the following link 2018 Netherlands Code of Conduct for Research Integrity 2018 UK

This Code of Conduct

  • gives researchers and students an educational and normative frame guiding their research activities;
  • gives institution boards / committees of Research Integrity an assessment frame in case of suspected research misconduct;
  • formulates a duty of care for the institution

 (Handreiking Nederlandse Gedragscode Wetenschappelijke Integriteit (NHL Stenden, 2020, n.p.)).

NHL Stenden University appointed two members for a joint Complaints Committee on Research Integrity (HAN, Hanzehogeschool, Christelijke Hogeschool Ede, Hogeschool Saxion, NHL Stenden) that investigates submitted suspected research misconduct. Furthermore, an Ethical Advisory Committee was established to promote  good research practice. Likewise, two counsellors research integrity were appointed.
