New book published on the passenger experience of air travel

Erwin Losekoot is pleased to announce the publication of a new book on the passenger experience of air travel, in which he co-wrote a chapter based on his PhD research. The book takes a critical approach to the air passenger travel experience - the representations, embodied practices and materialities of air travel. It argues air travel should be seen as a 'meaningful experience' and fills a gap in the social science research of tourist behaviour, in particular that liminal period of time before the traveller reaches their destination.

Other authors in this edited book include Jennie Small, Simon Darcy, Barbara Almond, Alison Mcintosh, Cheryl Cockburn-Wootten, James Higham and Martin Young.
